Jacoby Waters

Founder, CEO & Executive Director of Young Men of Distinction & Gentlemen of Distinction.

What is the best way to achieve a dream or a goal? Learn from someone that achieved the same goal or dream, or someone that has more knowledge or expertise in that area than you do.

His stepfather and grandfather have provided him with knowledge and expertise creating a strong foundation in his life. He also received great guidance from neighbors – helping to develop his morals and values. With a strong foundation and great guidance, he achieved several goals and he is continuing his journey toward his dream.

Jacob Waters

His humility and gratitude provided the inspiration to create Young Men of Distinction with the help of several key collaborators to achieve one goal – provide tools and resources for young men to achieve their goals and dreams.

Currently, Young Men of Distinction will be at Dr. Mary McCleod Bethune Elementary School, Belle Glade Elementary School, Howell L. Watkins Middle School, Forest Hill High School and returning back to John I. Leonard High School.

As someone who has spent over two decades navigating the intricate world of manufactured housing and RV communities, I’ve seen firsthand how operational excellence can transform not just businesses but lives too. My journey began with managing properties across multiple states—leading teams to achieve remarkable outcomes like overseeing portfolios worth over $500 million while improving occupancy rates significantly along the way. It's this blend of hands-on experience and strategic insight that drives my passion for leadership recruitment within lifestyle communities. Currently at Praxis Executive Advisors, I've taken my love for operational efficiency into the realm of executive search—where I leverage my unique perspective as both an operator and recruiter to connect organizations with leaders who truly understand their challenges. What excites me most is using data-driven strategies to ensure placement success; it’s fulfilling to see how effective leadership can elevate entire communities. In my previous leadership roles I've managed, in both operations and sales, manufactured housing and RV communities representing over 30,000 homesites in 19 different states. It was rewarding not just being responsible for financial performance but also witnessing how improvements in our approach directly impacted residents’ lives—the heart of what we do! Outside work hours? I’m passionate about giving back—co-founding a humanitarian startup taught me invaluable lessons about scalability while helping those in need. Additionally, running Pro-Vend Services allowed me to develop my entrepreneurial side further by optimizing service delivery through innovative solutions. If you’re interested in discussing leadership recruitment strategies or exploring how we can collaborate on elevating community living experiences together—feel free to reach out via email!
